Hypoallergenic Sporting Dogs

Hypoallergenic sporting dogs are great for allergy sufferers, that would like to adopt an active dog. Many of the sporting breeds are known to be highly intelligent and playful. Examples of the hypoallergenic sporting dogs include Poodles, Australian Terriers, and Kerry Blue Terriers.

All of these breeds have been used as hunting dogs throughout history. You might think, poodles? Yes, definitely. Many think of Poodles as living this sedentary luxurious life, spending hours laying around on the couch. However, they have a rich history as a hypoallergenic sporting dog. Poodles have been used to pull carts, fetch fowl in the water, and as loved companions. Now these animals are kept in the home as pets.

Each of these breeds has a short coat that's more like human hair as it is soft and thin. Unlike any other breeds, these dogs don't shed as regularly and when they do, it is generally not conspicuous. There is no dog that could be considered completely "hypoallergenic" -- but these breeds come close.

Even though the hypoallergenic sporting dogs don't shed much, they still need grooming a couple of times a week to prevent matting. The Poodle comes in one or two different sorts that are all hypoallergenic. Poodles are intelligent, loving, playful, and tend to live a long time. The Australian Terrier was once used to catch rodents, but today it is kept at home due to its happy disposition. These are great companions, not very large, and do not tend to shed much hair.

The Kerry Blue Terrier is a relative of the Australian Terrier, but is much bigger and has a more significant head and chest. They have square shaped heads, and sofy kinky hair. This is another of the hypoallergenic sporting dogs, that doesn't tend to shed. The Kerry Blue Terriers need daily exercise, including long walks, playing ball, and running around to burn off energy.

They can be considered a great family dog, with a winning personality. These breeds are considered hypoallergenic sporting dogs, and considered a little better for those that are somewhat allergic to dogs. The sportic breeds tend to have a lot of energy, and you must be prepared to provide daily exercise.
